Bitcoin mining economics, powered by the Luxor Hashrate Index API
Locational marginal price in $/MWh for the Texas load zones and trading hubs, updated every 5 minutes. LMP is energy only — it excludes TDU delivery, ancillary services and ERCOT fees, so it is not a delivered cost. Negative prices are highlighted: those are the intervals worth running through.
Modelled at live hashprice against your own power cost. Capex is estimated from the secondary-market price index for each machine's efficiency band. The best site for each miner is highlighted.
The power price above which each machine stops paying for itself, and how often your zones have been above it. This uses marginal cost — losses, tax, ancillary and the retail adder — and deliberately excludes demand charges, which you owe whether the machine runs or not. Curtailing against an all-in number shuts down hours that were still contributing.
Set the price you would curtail above, and see how much of each period you would actually have run. The number that matters is avg paid: skipping the worst intervals pulls down what you pay for the ones you keep.
